Page 100 Project: The White Bone

Trying out that rad Page 100 Project because [info]jasonturner has fun ideas. I've got a couple bookmarked to do, but for now I went with page 100 of "The White Bone" by Barbara Gowdy.

Man I still have to read that book. This is so beautiful, and also so sad - it reminds me of the Planet Earth episode where one of the baby elephants got lost and was going to DIE and ohgodtoosad! Nooo

Thanks! The book as a whole is a pretty big downer, yeah, but the characters are great, and it's so neat to see elephants used.

Gorgeous work!
Man, that little elephant rolls with a heartless crowd. I'd always heard about the compassion & caring of elephants.... you've shaken that belief in me now.

(and again, gorgeous pictures :) )

Thank you so much, sir! :D I'm glad you like it!

(On the upside, in the book she's actually just chasing dust clouds that LOOK like her family.

... on the downside, her family has all just been murdered by ivory poachers.)
